OAT prides themselves on learning and discovery ,experiences and today did not disappoint. Our first stop was a medieval monastery near the town. The Gothic buildings were massive, dating back to the 14th century. While the monks took vows of labor and poverty, their was nothing shabby about their home. Today we got to go into the buildings. After 1948 it became a labor camp for political prisoners of the Communist regime. It …

Neil finally tasted his "warm or mulled wine" which he said he is not that fussed to rush back for! We decided to try the Czech sausage in bread not a bun like the German way. The guy serving us was funny when we asked if they had buns for the sausage ...

... when it's hard to find a room and the streets are filled with mass tourism. We walked 5 minutes from the bus station and checked in and wandered the narrow cobblestone streets and found only a few restaurants or people walking about.

Cesky Krumlov is a fairy-tale castle town and a UNESCO World Heritage site. It's the 2nd most popular site in Czech Republic after Prague. It's only about 12,000 people and in the summer its ...
