Mui Ne was lovely and relaxing after the chaos of Ho Chi Min and Phnom Penh. It was about a 5 hour journey from HCMC and we had a pretty comfy bus with fully reclining seats! We got chatting to a cool Dutch girl in the bus called Simone so when we arrived we decided to check in to the same hostel as her, Mui Ne Backpackers Village. It was a nice place with simple but clean dorm rooms and a nice pool which we jumped straight in on arrival as we were really hot after ...

... and tried Vietnamese pizza which is pizza on a rice bread/layer base so it was super thin and so good! We then met the girls and made them and Oliver try durian. Needless to say they hated it and agreed it was the worst thing ever. The locals love it tho and eat it in large quantities. Weird weird people. It was pretty special to have the opportunity to cycle through Vietnamese countryside each day, the scenery and local sites were just incredible....I had to pinch myself to check I was really there. The beach was beautiful and very quiet, the sort of place I will dream of on Monday mornings on the way to work. In our travel guide it says that many foreigners who visit Hoi An, fall in ...

... a bottle too which was very kind. I took a sip from a bottle and they all said what are you doing? I was confused but apparently they never drink from bottles because then they can't share it. A nice was to drink together I thought! They also gave us mango which they dipped in some sort of chilli/lime salt. I'm up for trying off combinations but this was not a good one and we pretended we liked it! Plus every 2 minutes they were getting us to ...

We arrived in Dalat around midday and checked into our hostel. Whilst we waited for our room to be made they gave us a can of coke on the house and a plate of fruit... Very good first impressions! That afternoon we completely crashed out! It began to rain and so we had a lazy afternoon sleeping, reading and chilling until dinner time. At six o'clock the hostel lady knocked on our door and let us know that her husband was taking the guests to a local restaurant ...
