    ... much French is having to learn by trial and error. Some booths only issue tickets and we thought we'd have to pay them by phone before we left France. At the next booth it didn't issue a ticket and we tried to pay using coins, then a note, then a credit card, all the while cars queuing behind us. Then as a rat in a maze learns by trial and error, we found that the machine wanted the ticket from the last booth and on inserting it we found that we could pay. ...

    Had to leave the luxury hotel and took a wrong turn and ended up the mountain on a very small track. Did a upturn and it was off to Barcelona in the rain. Found parking really easily and started shopping up the Ramble. Had a lovely lunch and back in the car for the drive back to France.
