What a burst of sunshine coming through the window. No clouds! After breakfast, a swim in the pool. Chatted to an Aussie bloke who said that Patong Beach was full of sewerage and really, don't swim there. Ewww I was in there yesterday. As we all were. Used condoms he said he has seen. So new beach today. Tuk tuk to Kamala Beach has more of a village feel here. Water does look clean. Phew. Four or five ...

A rowdy group of Aussie lads stood next to me, their cigarette smoke wafted over me, it was quite comforting as occasionally I would catch a whiff of one of the drains outside. Very substandard pad Thai. Went back to the beach to hang out, but never got hot enough to need the water as it was 4pm and cloudy. After getting back to the hotel and showering, we took a nap before dinner that stretched to 5 am the next day. Oops, but not ...

... other room and showed me all of the strikes and kicks and things and taught me how to combine them together which was cool. But then he made me do 50 sit ups, I nearly died. And I hope my dad reads this. Yes, I did exercise! In the days following this class, I have even seen some of them going for lengthy runs around Patong. I was temped to go to another class, I did enjoy it but I was so intimidated so I never went back. Tuesday 29th Jan Had a really chilled day, slept for most of ...
