Lots of rain was predicted (and fell) this morning, and I needed to let my knee rest from the hike, so I slept late.
Did not feel like going to nearby caves either...
Walked around Quedlinburg some more, discovered that a flea market was on (I had wondered what all the campers and caravans were doing on that field the day before).
Bought some nice vintage stuff at that flea market.
Cute liquor glasses ...
... After a drink at a cafe annex home-turned-restaurant I walked back 3.4km on flat land alongside the foresty ridge. I passed a funny apple plantation on the way, where apparently you could pay money, go into the plantation by car, and then pick apples and fill a whole basket with apples of your choice... or so it seemed from what I saw.

But it was worth it, it's a beautiful castle, with loads of rooms all decorated with many details of various ages, and explanations.
... the ancient materials and then if someone needs a door, they have a choice of a 1000 ancient, original doors.
Someone asked why all the street names have a point (full stop) behind them. The guide explained that Quedlinburg wanted to change the street names in the past, but Berlin ruled: "no, they are staying the same, full stop!"
So they decided to take that very litterally. :-)
