There was actually sand on the beach and an amazing dramatic backdrop with the cliffs and houses rising up behind us.
We had a great time swimming and sunbaking here.
We found a small shopping centre nearby and yes maybe I spent too long in there for the rest of the family,

We arrived at a place called Tropea.
The unit we are staying in is a hotel with a pool and a bar.
We hopped into the pool as soon as we got there.
The pool looked shallow and Mum said we can only do crocodile but I can only just touch the bottom with my toes.
We stayed in the pool all afternoon and played shark zoo game and I am a Great White Shark.

And we where looking for a restaurant and mum ran into a shop and bought a dress and other people took the bag accidentally that we where buying but they came back and gave it back.
We bought 2 pizzas and we took them to a good view point and ate them. These where probably my favorite pizzas yet.
Then we went down to the beach and this beach was one of the top 10 most beautiful beaches in Italy.

Back to the coast to re-plan. The Mimosa campsite is lovely and just off the beach. The birthplace of Archimedes(you remember the book Mr Archimedes bath) and chosen island for Mafia. There are quite a few mafia type souvenirs around the little shops, along with lava from Mt Etna, which was smoking satisfactorily when we were leaving.
