... is struggling and there is not much to do other than have a brief walk round it and head on up the valley to pastures new. This Aire is actually a bit of a joke. They ask 8€ per night it's a long bay for 12 camper vans and you can only just open the doors it's that tight. We legged it at first light, no one collected any money last night so it's their fault and we had breakfast up on top of a mountain overlooking the Jura in a lovely field of wild flowers. ...

A stunning view of a hilltop chateau where we took many photos. Shortly after ...

Stunning Beaujolais wine country today. Our cycling through vineyards was spectacular. Several very steep hills followed by downhill stretches. The best cycling yet. A picnic lunch at a small cafe - a nice salad. Ready for it after a very long steep hill, several hours after breakfast and thereby low on energy. After lunch a short trip to the Beaujolais vineyard appellation bonnet, followed by a short but steep climb to ...

We set out this morning to head south with a stop off at Chateau La Rochepot about 15 Kim's south into Burgandy country. We headed south west from Beaune into the hills above the plain and the country side changed to vineyards where the vines are trellised on a single wire about 1400 high. At one point we came over a hill and a tourist bus had stopped in a wayside stop and the tourists were out photographing the vineyard landscape. We ...

... travel on bikes and I can even have a drink. We arrive at the pizza place at 9pm to discover they have closed up for the night. It's Saturday night and there is nothing open. We stop in the middle of the street to discuss our plan of action and somebody rattles their shutter in annoyance at us whispering. It’s back to the tent. Matthew rustles up an omelete and fried potatoes and tells me that no ...
