    ... countryside but the second half seems less attractive as it appears generally more commercial after Orleans. Eventually, about 6:30 pm we arrive at the hotel! Our room is good with views over the river Soane.

    We set out this morning to head south with a stop off at Chateau La Rochepot about 15 Kim's south into Burgandy country. We headed south west from Beaune into the hills above the plain and the country side changed to vineyards where the vines are trellised on a single wire about 1400 high.     Decided not to use the outdoor pool – not heated and a little on the chilly side. Back into Fleurie for dinner and lovely bottle of local wine!
