    ... When they pass away ( they are between the ages of 56-88) the monastery will be preserved as a museum. The monks live in complete isolation with never more than 12 monks and 6 lay- brothers( assisian monks) to assist them. Originally they were alone for 23 hours a day, 363 days a year, with the exception of Christmas and Easter when their parents were permitted to visit!!     ... mmmmmm....Veges a plenty & all the cheese and wine, so many decisions.     ... minutes of flying we had landed in Florence. Hardly seemed worth the two hour wait just to get on the flight!
