    ... our elegant room and a bathroom big enough for ballroom dancing. I quickstep over to the shower and wash the grime of the day away.

    We are near the Trebbia where Hannibal had a major battle. Of the 34 or 37 elephants he set out with, many had already died from the cold and exhaustion and only one it is believed survived this battle. After a day like today, I can understand why.
