... to find somewhere to eat without any success. Eventually found a pizzeria that was open at 7pm, so atmospheric, local, regional etc went by the wayside in favour of just eating something. ... and unfortunately that was at happy hour..so Neil insisted we all have a tequila! As the group was told to not leave a gazelle (girl) alone in Barcelona and to travel in a group, so we all headed back to the hostel. Instructions to find our way back was to follow the team tracks. ... about the festival. We then looked at plan B and headed for a place about 25 miles away from the lakes, and found a place called Cremona.
This didn't turn out to be our best decision- it was a mixture of Stalag 13 and a building site. We kept the caravan hooked up to the car and were charged 22 euros for the night. The staff couldn't even muster up a smile and we were glad to move on next ...
... chatted with the British lady. She informed us that we could get our daily gelato fix from the bar next door, so naturally within 5 minutes of her saying that, we each had gelato in our hand. This sparked an interesting conversation of what fruit goes best with chocolate (obviously strawberries), but we left it open to be decided on later.
This day was indeed as uneventful as it sounds, which is perfect because tomorrow we're going to MILANO!!!
... exactly the safest country to be traveling in, we can't read the signs, we don't know if we'd have 3G to check google maps, logistically it's hard to pack our bikes, and flying them might cost a lot of money. In the end, we decided that taking a train to Switzerland where we already have some hosts lined up would be cheaper, more fun, and just all around better. Plus we'd get to go through Germany and Luxembourg on our way to Amsterdam!
