We also climbed up to the top of the hill to the old village and spent a few pleasant hours there, but there wasn't a lot to see or do, apart from enjoy the magnificent view, and have a quiet drink while we just perused the passing throng with their spoiled little dogs in their arms...

There is a music festival on this weekend, not unlike the Burlington Sound of music ...

... but was fall apart tender and delicious. I had tuna rolled in crisp filo with just s touch of wasabi and candied tomatoes. Heaven! Then a sampling of 3ages of Parmesan cheese. A basil sorbet to cleanse the palate. Finally, I had a glass of Muscat and Brian had a pear in custard dessert. And of course, a bottle of wine. The pace was wonderfully slow...we were there for 3 hours but it seemed to be just about right. It is 10:30 the next morning and I am still full and ...
