... there in Maribor, doesn't help we forgot our guide book either. The most entertaining bit was arriving in Ljubljana Airport and picking up the hire car for my first driving on the right hand side of the road experience (have previously driven in NZ but they are the same as side as the UK).

... we headed back to the country we had dinner with my sister's friend who was a very nice, intelligent and charming local man who spoke English very well; we were very happy to meet him and exchange stories about our respective countries.

... a fish! She absolutely loved every minute of it. We are learning a few words here and there, and having fun trying them out on the locals. We are also adapting to our hotel's interesting evening entertainment, which consists of a guy playing keyboard over pre-loaded synth tracks to the same 3 songs, over and over again. If I hear his version of Toto's 'Africa' again I might snap. Gotta love that Eastern European entertainment! Until next ...
