... and a little canoodling! Everyone was relaxed and having a great time. BTW...there is NO airconditioning in this hotel! We keep the doors open all the time. They have electronic awnings you put down in the day and a fan at night. Twice birds have flown in the room! The first night I called to ask how to turn the airconditioning on...and they said they had none! It's been comfortable enough and the air smells so pretty but a bit ...

... place is in the Summer, but even allowing for that, it was slow progress as we kept stopping for photos. We think we did about 30km in just over two hours. When we come back next year, we're already thinking about passing this way, or something very similar, so we can get the full experience.

... to trust me on this one as you can't currently go back and reference it…and I’m still having a hard time with breakfast…oh wait…we’re inSwitzerland…it was chococlate!), my most favourite part about any trip is beyond what we have planned to do, it is the unplanned, the unexpected that we carouse in.

... They just celebrated their 100th anniversary two years ago. Some of the train goes through long tunnels up to the top. Can you imagine what it took to build that railroad with horses and manpower?

... the skis. We passed three stations on the way up, about 3kms apart, with ski runs going from each. A lovely sunny day. At the top we had a choice of hiring a toboggan for a few hours, walk down to the next station or just hang about for an hour to catch the next train down.
Some went on the toboggan (sled) this held one person, one sat facing forward hanging onto a strap. You braked by digging your heels into the snow, you went down a run ...
