... back in September and spend the time in France instead.
Arrived at the caravan park in good spirits, it had actually stopped raining . after giving them our name, rank and serial number we were allowed to go to our pitch. A lovely spot here and very peaceful as well. ... the hottest day of the year so far.

Back at the car, we soaked up the cool of the underground carpark before headed off to the ferry port. DFDS kindly let us on the next ferry even though we were two hours early for our scheduled transport. We found seats and settled down for the two hour crossing, playing backgammon and Angry Birds on our phones to kill time.
Back in sunny Southend after a very enjoyable five days.....thanks ...

... speak much English and we don't speak any of their language, so it is amazing that we were able to order any food at all. We ate fast so that we could get back to the campground on time.

... starters, we had the good fortune to meet up with some friends who live in a wonderful little village in southeast Germany, and we had a blast just sitting around reminiscing, laughing, eating, drinking wine (and a little German beer......), and being quite thankful that we had such good friends to catch up with along our world journey (and who politely put up with all our stories!). ;-)
