... reading the blurbs of information that were available. In almost every room there is a description on the wall that explains the time period of that particular room. Picasso spent his youth in Barcelona so the museum has quite a good collection of his very early work. It did a good job of taking you through his progression from child to serious artist (he actually became a serious artist at a very young age). Then suddenly there is a huge gap in time, from about ...

... We spent all of Thursday in bed as I was totally unwell. Silly girl. Friday came around and happy birthday to me! I finally felt better so we got up and had some breakfast. We decided we'd go to the aquarium today. We walked down to the port, looking at markets on the way, and spent a few hours in the aquarium looking at all the fishes. It was beautiful. After the aquarium, we wander around La Ramblas and looked at the many market stalls. We bought a few things and ...

Now to find our gate...  I am amazed how automated the world has become and how few "people" are needed to actually run things.  Gates remained unstaffed until just a ...

... babbling on about this and that, and landed at a good time in the mid afternoon when we were all ready to go home and sleep.

At home I stuffed my face with pizza and pasta, talked on the phone and at 7pm when all this was done I fell asleep on my bed with no covers and still fully clothed. I woke up at 7am the following day with a blanket that had been put over me by my mum and felt refreshed. City break complete!

    Until next time :)
