    ... hold of the same tickets -the ones i thought i already had, and paid for - of course at a price!

    BUT the important thing is that we are all set to start holidaying next monday! just have to find a flight out of Maputo still. but that should not be too difficult!

    so...back to packing! ;-) and no, not the puppies...

    Another 4am bus from Tofo took me to the capital of Mozambique. This journey was nowhere near as bad as the previous ones, but it won't be registering on my Top 100. The city itself is surprisingly nice, at least in parts. My hostel was located at the top of a steep park that led down to the expensive hotels on the beachfront, and the park had some nice walkways leading through it, but we were explicitly told, by the hostel ...

    ... 2. Notre guide dans Kruger nous demande spontanément, pourquoi Maputo, Michel lui indique que c'est selon beaucoup de gens une des plus belles villes de l'Afrique. Pieter n’était pas d’accord indiquant que les ravages de la guerre étaient toujours présents, il y avait beaucoup de VIH, beaucoup de malaria et beaucoup de violence… hmmm, OK ben on verra

    ... could not get onto the bus as it was full, even after four phone calls to confirm that we did in fact need to book our seats. Luckily we managed to hustle the last two seats and settled in for the eight hour ride.
