... called Pole International de la Prehistoire, which turned out to be a free museum with loads of information & videos (with English translation!) about Cro-Magnon and Neanderthal peoples (and a bit on Lucy and the Laetoli footprints, which we saw in Tanzania!)...a real find, very informative! So the day wasn't an entire bust, and we really did enjoy the outing! ...

We chose their house white, Clos le Joncal, which went perfectly with the meal, although we paid €18 for the bottle, only to find it at Mitch's wine cave later ...
