Just a quick stay in Mt Abu. Went to see some more temples!! Also went to see the sunset from the top of the mountain but we got too cold so left about 10 minutes before the sun actually set!!

Mount Abu
We set off from Udaipur at 8 am to Mount Abu on a very hot bus journey tha took about 5 hours. Mount Abu is pretty high with very winding roads and we didnt think the bus was going to make it at one point. the prospect of getting out of the bus and walking the rest of the way in the heat did not appeal!

AFter checing out of the rooms this morning we mainly spent the day sorting things before the next set of journeys, booking accommodation and stuff on the internet and buying supplies fotr the ridiculously long journey. it was too hot to even sunbathe for long (fully covered up obv).

My least favourite place in India...
Apparently Mount Abu is a very popular destination for domestic tourists. Not surprisingly, it's filled with loads of cheesy touristy things like arcades. It was a very pretty spot, but really didn't have much to recommend it to foreign tourists. There was really very little to do except wait for the next train to Mumbai!

After we spent the morning in Mount Abu we headed back to Gujarat and back to the village to pack for our depatures :(
Amy goes back to England on Sunday aftr 3 weeks of fun! and I'm heading out to Mumbai and Kerala for 3 weeks before i get deported from India and come back home!
