... of loud musaz - though sometimes pleasant enough tunes – earplugs securely wedged in ear canals – entreaties to conductor having fallen on deaf ears - am I surprised his ears are deaf - in short tired as can be and to top it off Piura is hot and humid. And we have walked some few blocks past Gary’s recommended hostel. We find and inspect the hostel. The rooms are okay but are on the ground floor and open on to a hallway. It was a really easy border crossing, and then a nonstop drive ...

We eventually chose a place called Guacamayo which has rustic rooms made from bamboo which resemble the bungalows of Asia. The owner is a rather large and extremely friendly Peruvian who it turns out is ...

... has complete control over the game and may give penalties and requests for anything he chooses, with the teams having to ask permission from the judge for almost all their movements.
After a while we get pretty drunk and continue through the night playing beer pong, pool and retiring in the early hours.

The next day i'm up at 8am to catch a bus to Tarapoto via Chiclayo ...
