... the Greek way is not easy. From my ideas about Greeks along with past experiences, I always envisioned Greeks as just another version of Ukrainians who like to eat lots of good food, drink, and who know how to throw a good party. There will be many upswept / wind tousled records of this moment ...

Crete-the wine, the food, the hospitality and kitties! Crete is known for the cats-a pretty healthy bunch of semi-feral cats that are all over the island. A bit like the chickens in Kauai the cats are just a part of the backdrop. A few of them are exceptionally friendly and Auntie Charlotte has a few on her list to come home with her:)

... the other Protopalatial palaces around Crete at 1700 BC, probably by a large earthquake or foreign invaders. It was immediately rebuilt to an even more elaborate complex and until its abandonment was damaged several times during earthquakes, invasions, and in 1450 BC by the colossal volcanic eruption of Thera, and the invasion of Mycenaeans who used it as their capital as they ruled the island of Crete until 1375 BC."
