... but seriously. It was intensely hot, and just when I thought I had used up my last reserves we had some dinner and I was good to go for more. The DL motto "Where dreams come true" (or something close to that) is actually pretty legitimate. Sometimes during the rides I was just blown away by the fine detail. ... that I wouldn't find it in time and would miss my train. I eventually did find it and caught my train on time.

My train journey out of Tokyo took about 4 hours (changing trains in Nagoya) arriving at my next destination (Takayama at around 10:30pm).

I was exhausted and my feet were killing me. I had just enough time for a shower and a cup of tea and a chat (in Japanese with the very kind night receptionist) before turning in for a much deserved nights ...

... then give your receipt to your server. It was actually pretty easy to find the picture of what we both wanted and the beer. The food was absolutely fantastic! We were both so happy with it. We ended up choosing the same dish which was grilled steak, tempura king prawns, a fresh cabbage salad, miso soup, and rice.
