    ... hot dog - lucky as they were closing in 15mins. Soon after we were back in the ropeway train to Naka Gora and in the warmth of the Ryokan (by now it was quite cool! We were shown our traditional Japanese room - it was really lovely... and warm! The Ryokan is so peaceful and homely. Soft twinkling music plays in the lovely lounge area with really comfy couches.     Its amazing just to walk around the lakes on the path which goes pretty much all around the lakes. You can hire out bikes and some hostels even offer them for free.
