... whales that we followed for about an hour. That was amazing! And not only did we have the killer whales, there were Magellan penguins and I wasn't expecting to see any penguins until we got further south.

The weather outside temperature wise was very pleasant, mid 70's, although incredibly windy. It is going to start getting cooler and cooler the further south we go.

Looking forward to another relaxing day tomorrow!

... had been wiped out and we are the only people left.

We played some racket ball, table tennis and the gym was used most days. Nic even attempted a swim in the outdoor pool one day. She lasted 40 minutes and came out like an iceberg. It took an hour for her to warm up and her legs to change from blue.

That evening, I did a little research and wanted to head over to Los Troncos (an established favorite restaurant) for dinner. We asked Marga at the hotel if she could help us get a taxi. Off the back packer trail - the Pampas: We decided to see the Atlantic coast and the pampas south of BA - grass, cows, fences, a few trees, and lagoons. The pampas are the vast areas of flat grass lands that make up the majority of the Argentine countryside. There really isn't much else to see out in these ares, so the guide books don't spend much time on them. A person is much more likely to see Argentine tourists ...

In the morning we went to Villa Gesell's local radio station. Jose Luis has a weekly radio show where he speaks about the political issues of the town. Some people think he should run for major of the town but he doesn’t want to.
