... was a warm and sunny day for traveling. We stopped for lunch and refreshments around 1:30 in a small restaurant. Hernan looked at the weather forecast for the following day and then he and John decided we needed to bird that afternoon in the heat as the forecast showed wind and rain. Nic adopted at least four more dogs. One of the dogs (Basil) walked 9k with us,tail waging all the way. We fed him on chocolate biscuits and rolls. We abandoned him after making him a ham sandwich once we made it to our Hotel.(Alex got no food till later that day! Alex didn't like Basil)

... bridge... in Spanish! Fernando got quite competitive and enjoyed saying "come home" when he would play a card. That evening, I did a little research and wanted to head over to Los Troncos (an established favorite restaurant) for dinner. We asked Marga at the hotel if she could help us get a taxi. She called several times, but explained that when it rains, taxis disappear. After waiting for an hour or more (all while playing bridge), the night shift ...

... taken most of the tourists away. We even had a hard time finding an open hotel. We needed take care of a few things anyway and were both still somewhat sick. This was a better option than BA for this sort of thing. We did laundry and exchanged documents with Craig re. the store. The people in town were very nice to us, and we did take a long walk on the Atlantic beach with some of the local escort dogs.

In the morning we went to Villa Gesell's local radio station. Jose Luis has a weekly radio show where he speaks about the political issues of the town. Some people think he should run for major of the town but he doesn’t want to.

We went along to see him on air and at the last minute found out we would be interviewed. We were the 'tourists’ from Spain and NZ. Emilio was questioned about what he thinks of Ville Gesell and Kelly was asked to speak about ...
