It was nice to have the option to buy Wi-Fi for the night, but the location with construction surrounding the hotel was a bit of a nucense. The rooms were very nice, though, which made up for it! Also, the room service was delicious!

I kept a careful eye on Graham. Most of the time when it comes to toilet requirements, I’ve learnt to hang on in there and wait, but knowing that we’d got a five hour journey ahead of us (on top of the five hours we’d already been on the road) I ...

... on to the point where it was hard to believe that the bus would even be able to move. I looked at Hayley and said “I can’t do this; I don’t care how cheap it is. I can’t stand up for 5 hours on a bus like that” Hayley looked relieved that I had chickened out first. “OK, let’s go find the train station”

The train station was a nightmare that was only slightly better than the bus station. The place was crowded and even noisier ...

I have no idea what they were saying, but **** jokes translate well....The evening ended around midnight after an amazing dinner/mingling event that was chaotic, crowded and fabulous. Jackie and I even sported our new bangles! It was the last chance to socialize with our new friends and get to know their families. They were all so sweet and eager to introduce us to their children and relatives. I collapsed into my ...

You wash your hands then feet, then as you walk from the mad busy streets through a White arch you are hit by the chants by the priests in Gurmukhi from the golden two storey temple called the Hari Mandir Sahib in the middle of the pool of nectar (holy water around it). The sun reflects off the golden domes an on the ...

... a little bit of travelling with us around India. For us, this is an opportunity of a lifetime to better understand our roots and where our families came from before settling abroad. We could always visit the places on our own but having our parents show us and tell us stories will be much more of a fufilling experience.
