... head straight to bed since we had to be up in just a few short hours.

What is it about having to wake up super early that makes it nearly impossible to go to sleep? We were certainly feeling the effects of this strange phenomenon when our alarms went off at 2am the next morning in preparation for our trip to the famous Tsujiki Fish Market and Tuna Auction. At least the streets are mostly clear and I've been able to ride my bicycle to work safely. Is this all the winter we're to expect? In my heart of hearts, I pray it isn't, though for the sake of my beloved plum blossoms, I rather hope it is.

... meat was funny. The man behind the counter had no idea what I was trying to say so he motioned someone else up and that was no better. I finally held 2 fingers up and she says 200 something. I just gave up and shook my head yes having no idea how much meat I just agreed to. Luckily it was only 6 small chicken pieces.
After having a small lunch I decided it was time to venture further out. ...
