Having left Singapore at 6:40 am Tuesday morning, I arrived in Marmaris, Turkey about 11 am this morning (Wednesday) - roughly 36 hours in that travel leg, taking account of time differences. I am looking forward to bed tonight - my first night's sleep in a bed since last Sunday night. I was somewhat anxious about travelling Malaysian Airlines, but actually it was quite good - the A380 was only ...

The pilot was on board and apparently no sign of this couple. We were on our balcony to watch as we prepared to sail. Lots of others were aware of the saga unfolding too. Friday
Well I came on deck this morning to find several passengers tucked under blankets! Like us it was difficult to get back to sleep when at 5am the anchor was raised and the seas were a little bit choppy but we stayed in our cabin whilst some came out on deck.
We continued sailing for about an hour and pulled anchor about 9am when breakfast was served.
We get a good selection each morning, and this morning the eggs were fried, I don't usually eat fried eggs but the way ...

I spent two weeks on a volunteer workcamp in the district of Mugla. I went through an organisation called CSV which offers many different workcamps at affordable prices. I chose to volunteer at a Cat and Dog shelter as I am a huge animal lover.

This was an absolutely incredible experience and I had the chance to meet some amazing people from all over the world. The first weekend was ...
