While yesterday was about Richard achieving a bucket-list goal and climbing the majestic Stelvio alpine mountain, today saw Susan achieve her goal of cycling further than she ever has before, through some of the most beautiful scenery imaginable. We spent one week in this cosy and special hotel. We planned every evening with the owner of the hotel where to hike the day after. And every time it was a special experience. We saw a lot of mountain lakes, deers, flowers and the owner one time came with us explaining all about the area: history, geography and bothanic. There are a lot of things to do: clibining, rafting, hiking, MTB tours and mcuh more. ...
... the Bormio side and straight away I knew I was in for a hard climb. It is 20 km long but the problem was the slope. I was working hard and part of the climb was 14%25. The climb was breathtaking, with tunnels of dripping water and waterfalls and high barren peaks. I stopped at the 10 km mark for water and supplies and was basically stuffed then.
