So I haven't actually flown out yet, but I'm planning to.. In 9 hours. I just wanted to get my fans pumped up to read more about my adventures.
It's snowing a lot outside (in GFPK). I foresee a nice 1.5 hour bus ride from downtown Montreal to PET airport.
Vou passar o próximo fim-de-semana em New York.
... people going elsewhere. Street artists were showing seasonal paintings - snow covered spiral staircases, snow on the streets, snow on the roofs. We truly felt a snow anticipation in the air
Uphill from a plaza was Quartier Latin where we had an evening coffee. Waiters kept asking us in French and we could not shake off a feeling of being in a magnificently unreal place
Several times we saw signs "Come back in May". I wonder...
On n'avait encore jamais vu ça!
... being up the mountains as well with a lot a snow had settled and from the looking point next to this large chalet it really was an ace place to start the day, even got to see some mounty type police up on the trail on horseback which has cool, although we caught them down wind and those horses were knocking out some good manure, but my sense of smell has already taken a battering from the stinky slippers back at the hostel and i was flying from the two giant sized coffees that ...
Montreal, Quebec, Canada anaisetmat... into the Biodome, which once housed the velodrome. Now converted to a wildlife attraction, similar to Tropical World at Roundhay Park, Leeds, only bigger and taking in more habitats, including tropical, Laurentian temperate and Arctic, worthwhile overall!! It was about 16:45 so we said our goodbyes and Joe gave Kelly & I a lift to central station, where we had a train to catch at 18:45.
Montreal, Quebec, Canada whernside... the time in the world!! We walked back to the hotel along the Rue St. Catherine, stopping at Chapters, a book shop of course. After recovering we ventured out again for a nice meal at Sevens, a nice restaurant close by. Again the fire brigade was cruising the street!! We have really enjoyed our stay here. Some beautiful buildings like Notre-Dame Cathedral and the St Joseph's Oratory on Mont Royal as well as some great modern buidings which seem to meld into them.
Montreal, Quebec, Canada mrsmac... I was bedded in section E, mixed dorm with air mattresses on the floor. this sufficed for the first night but on the second night, due to a very noisy and restless individual in the dorm who would not shut up, I gathered my pillow and bedclothes and went and slept outside the laundry downstairs. One of the staff did offer me a spare bed that they use downstairs for the night-shift but I turned it down in favour of the floor. Many years of crashing on floors at ...
Montreal, Quebec, Canada lightweight... no one calls it 'French' Fries here). The area is mostly French Speaking (Anjou) but a little very bad French and pointing , we get by... Tips: People are very friendly, speak English when you arrive, they will give you an English menu or one with both .. so you just point...
