We enjoy the drive down to Kandy through the Hill Country and arrive at the hotel. We are able to check in straight away and are shown to our room which is gorgeous! Fantastic lake view deluxe room with a large balcony, complete with similar 1920's style chairs as we had at the Welcombe Hotel in Trinco!

The bus ride was amazing, checked it was going to the right place, looked through the window already it was rammed. Very much standing room only! So with bags in the boot, we started shoving children on in fear of it going with 3 out of 5 of us!! They have an amazing ability to slow the bus down, hop on and off without much stopping!! So, nowhere …
... shop for 3 hours, cleaned up Raminica's bed, waste count and worked on my individual project (Creating structure in the teaching exercises).
Day 6- I did my daily duties and took a short trip into Pinnawala where I was told there were some nice shops, being part of the Volunteer scheme the majority of the shops we went to offered us a 30% discount on any items. I was taken back by the hospitality of the people here, they gave a free (cold) bottle of coke just for ...
... caught since his little fortress was impenetrable thanks to mother nature. Then we were told upon our return that he was lured into the village by a secret lover who betrayed him to the British police. (Women i tell you.)
The hike down took just under an hour and by 9.30 am, we were on our way to the next mountain – the beautiful Bible Rock.

... down to the previous resting spot to look for them, much grumbling at Dave by Jenna for putting the tickets in the guide book from which they'd apparently fallen out (silly idea) and scrabbling around by a frantic Dave. Security men looked on helpfully, suggesting we check this pocket and that pocket of our bags, which we did, but still the tickets did not materialise.
