Phillip decided he didn't want to view the great heights of the mountain so I went alone, although I wasn't really alone because each gondola holds about 60 people. So up we went from about 1,000 metres at Chamonix to 3,842m. I know from my experiences in Peru last year that I'm not great at altitude so I wasn't surprised to feel really woozy and short of breath up there but it was really worth it. The views ...
What a great day! By far my favorite day!! We ate a good breakfast at JUFA hotel and took a short bus ride to Golm Mountain to have fun on the ropes course. This lake sits on the border of Germany, Austria, and Switzerland - so we will need to get another vignette today, this one for Switzerland. The annoying thing about the Swiss vignette is that it's a full-year sticker; they don't offer a discounted, time-limited option. Oh well - it's pay up, or don't drive there!
We started ...
