The tour starts with fascinating stalactite & stalagmite formations - some of them so old they've connected to form a floor to ceiling column (on average they grow by 1mm per year, to help give a sense for how long this takes). ... with such a small opening, one that cannot deal with the enormous volume of water that pours into the cave after heavy rainfall, water levels within the canyon have risen to depths of 100 meters (above the level of the bridge in the picture)!

We couldn’t take photographs while inside so the few I include here are from the internet. We were able to take photos as we emerged for the final km or so hike back to the bus, so those are mine.
