... we made our way south to Nes with its four large turbines sitting on the wind-blown ridge. From here there were great views to the southern island of Sandoy in the background behind Torshavn. The grazing sheep didn’t seem at all perturbed by the continual whoosh of the blades from the turbines, but they were not too keen on our trying to get closer for a photo or two!

... here that a tragedy almost befell us. Little Ted had been posing for his photos and while we were setting up the camera for a group shot using the camera’s 'self-timer’ function, a gust of wind toppled Little Ted from his position on a rock! Horror of horrors, he tumbled towards the floor of the gorge, and was only saved from reaching the bottom by a small ledge. 3 dagen op de Faeröer eilanden.

Donderdag 21juli: Gisteren zijn we op de camping in Seyðisfjørður gaan staan en het werd er erg druk want iedereen had waarschijnlijk hetzelfde idee. Vanmorgen begonnen de eerste geluiden rondom ons al om 05.00 uur terwijl we pas om 07.00 uur moeten inchecken. Uiteindelijk zijn we om 06.30 opgestaan en om 07.30 stonden we in de rij om in te checken. Na het inchecken hebben we nog tot 10.00 uur moeten wachten voor wij als ...

Anyway I didn't get up to see it though it would have been light of course.

Fortunately they also did not announce the landing or give wake up calls over the ship's PA system.
