I totally forgot to mention two really neat parts of our day yesterday. So, here they are with some neat pics too!

First, during our walk along the city wall we found an exit with a long (and steep) path to the river valley below. From our B&B room we can see the cute village houses down there, so we figured we might as well check it out. For some reason we just keep choosing to walk up and down sleep hills and stairs! Maybe that's why we've been so sore the whole ...

... town. The man that gives the tour dresses as the night watchman and he's been doing it for the last 20 years. His humor is subtle, perfectly timed and hilarious as he describes the history of the town and the role of the night watchman. We were laughing out loud through the entire experience. ... top. We made it!
The view from the top was so worth it, Tess & I didn't stay up there long as it was too windy & chilly for Lily:)

We waited for the others in the large hall at the halfway point. It was such a good feeling to get back there!

We walked around the town and the markets. Ate Bratwurst rolls AGAIN for ...

Tomorrow we head to munich.... Look out ...

... be coming home with me!) We went back to our room for a while, then decided to try to find a supermarket. That meant we had to go outside the wall. We climbed up some very old, very steep stairs, some of which are worn in the middle from centuries of feet, and walked along the city wall. It is stone, is covered, and the outer part has only gun and arrow slits. The inner side has a wooden rail, and looks out over the terra cotta tiled roofs of ...
