Today's theme song - "We are Sailing" a leisurely morning repacking and sitting around waiting for our taxi arrived at our departure point. Embarkation was supposedly 1pm but in true Italian organisational style at 1.45pm the embarkation point was a huge barn like structure with people sitting and standing around like a cross between a doctors waiting room and a disaster relief centre. Waking up a little sadly knowing we would be leaving Sophie and Thea, we all took a short trip to the local clog factory and design outlet village at Boarp after breakfast.

The kids had a last game of 'Dunk' with Ted, Thomasine (who could still only call George Greg) and Thea, while we packed up the van. All in all the children all got on very well and hopefully they have made friends for longer than the 2 days we stayed at the house.

... and warm to hot day. The city was a good size for me with around 1.2 million people. The town hall was huge and provided free wireless and even free clean toilets. So caught up on some work on the email front. Nearby were lovely buildings and a waterfront with a big market, Salamanca style. Full of reasonable locally made souvenirs and food stalls selling BBQ reindeer and creamy salmon soup. I couldn't eat Rudolph and it was way too hot for soup. We ...

... having only 18, they painted red ears on 2 more but raid washed off the colour, revealing their trickery. In stead of punishment , the King ordered that the name of each guilty peasant be engraved upon a stone which would be placed publically and also that, by turns, the kings coffers be entrusted to each for a year. ... of the waves of the clear water and with swans busy feeding just offshore. Very nice and we would have walked longer but the clouds were looking threatening and indeed, by the time we left the shop back in the village it was bucketing down and we got somewhat wet. I wasn't able to run as I was carrying 48 cans of pilsener, it’s cheaper here that in Sweden!
