The last pasta like dish I tried was Quark Gnocchi whose Slovenian name I don’t recall and can’t find. I guess it was the season for it since the dish was served with a delicious wild mushroom sauce with a little cream and lots of parsley. Quark showed up in an unexpectedly pain form in another meal I ordered. I was in the Julian Alps in ...

... we catch up with our notes and plans for our Ljubljana visit tomorrow. While buying our tickets for the castle we were asked to wait while the president of Switzerland and his party departed from a reception to recognize the Swiss contribution to the renovation of the Castle. That cleared up for me why there were so many high end cars with drivers waiting in the parking ...

It is quite large, with a number of cafes, shops and park benches to sit down and relax at, which I note as a good potential reading spot. Heading out of the Square, go further west, leaving the old town/touristy area and going ...

We had the best night. The hostel bar was famous for it's experimental music so we hung out there first. We covered deep and meaningful topics like religion and fun topics like how to say cheers in Australia which, unfortunately Noam, ...

... was a terminal that local buses appeared to be using - the lady working there had never heard of the bus company I was looking for(who incidentally only go from Venice to Ljubjlana three times per week - the next bus is on Saturday!). That should have been the first warning sign - she said maybe around the corner. For the next hour and a half I wandered up and down the street, determined to find the bus stop myself. 2pm came and went - it's ...
