... about 11 AM and Jon took us on a walking tour of the central zone of the city. The town is full of university students. Because of the free education available, many go to the universities that probably shouldn't. We saw the Riverside Market, National and University Library, the Italian Baroque Cathedral, the Serbian Orthodox Church, the Dragon Bridge, the Town Hall, the Triple ...

    • Drove another 2.5 hours to a nice little campsite in Punta Sabbioni, a 30 min ferry ride to the SE of Venice. Quiet - we'd not been looking forward to busy/loud Italian sites.
    • We were really impressed with Venice - it's so different to anywhere else and very much how we imagined it to be ie lots of water and grand old buildings. Not smelly ...

... walking through the Christmas markets. When I officially started to freeze we headed back to make dinner.

Just like so many nights before, we are trying to plan our next few days right now. We are heading to Croatia if the trains work out and other important things like that.
