    ... sheer and jagged rocky outcrop and different levels take advantage of the natural stone, weaving the building around the rock faces.

    The road is not quite as good on the Polish side, but not bad either. Long straights take us down through the forest to the busy holiday resort town of Zakopane. It's a slow drag through but finally we are back on fast tarmac and in no time we arrive back in Slovakia.

    ... Mom would have been so proud, taught me well. We had a 3 hour bus ride back because we hit traffic in the city. Just had enough time to shower and go to church. Since we hadn't eaten dinner we went to the Hard Rock Cafe in the square. It was fun and probably the most American thing you can do in krakow. I was most excited because they had Heinz ketchup! I haven't that in 2 whole weeks and Polands ketchup is like sugary tomato, not good. Last week of classes and finals coming ...

    ... After about 2 hours, we found the mountain house where we could use the bathroom and get snacks. That sure was a welcome sight! Since it was only about 11, I just had hot chocolate and apple cake. It was delicious.     Today we left Zakopane and travelled to Budapest. On the way we stopped in Slovakia and did a tank ride. The back of the tank was all open and only had handrails to stand and hold onto. The eccentric driver of the tank, dressed all in army surplus gear, seemed to enjoy scaring us all us much as possible, turning around and smiling while he drove us down huge slopes and through rivers.
