      ... he was there in 2007 when the place was in much better condition! We caught a bus there to discover that it is in the middle of absolute nowhere. On the bus, a terrifying Polish man with few teeth attempted to extort 2 Euro out of us. However, the bus driver had our back and we were able to run away (bravely of course).

      ... we came back in time for dinner, the place was filling up and a Roma band was playing in the corner. Score! Deanne noticed a guy playing an instrument I'd never seen. "He's playing a Hacklrett!" (sp?) she exclaimed. A what? When she was an exchange student in Austria (when she was 16 going on 17.....) one of the guys in town played one of these things.       Not to much to report today. We had a nice sleep in this morning after a relatively late night last night. Did some laundry and enjoyed the sunshine, before we got on our bus & headed for the Tatra mountains in Slovakia.
