... on a path made of big rocks. The view was amazing and the water was so clear and fresh. We even filled up our waterbottle on the hike up using run off from the mountains. Then we got the horse and carriage on the way back down the mountain. Then we got the bus to Zakopane and then to Kraków ...

We couldn't for the life of us get the bar to lift up, in order to get off the chair, and were getting a little panicky since we were running out of time with the chair continuing to move! High above the alpines amongst the clouds, I gaze upon the pine trees and valley towns. Birds echo along the foothills as clouds scoot up the ravine, perched on a granite boulder, I enjoy the stillness. Passing the ridge we venture down through the trees to the distant sound of water. Arriving at Zamkovskeho Chalet nestled in the pines we duck into a cosy cabin for a hot Turkish coffee. Walking alongside the rushing waterfall, it's loud applause cheers us on. The mountains grow as ...

After a couple of weeks in the city, we were craving some peace and tranquility and we couldn’t have picked a more perfect spot in Zakopane, located at the foot of the Tatra Mountains! After a 3hr bus trip from Krakow, we arrived at the main terminal in Zakopane, hoping to get a minibus to our hostel. Unfortunately due to the public holiday (yes another one!!) and despite the help of a young Polish lady who acted as our translator, we were unable ...
