Hung over again

We woke with hangovers again and decided to go to the smugglers bar for a full english fry up. We have not ate bacon for the whole time that we have been away and I have been dreaming about bacon buttys lol. It was a really nice breakfast and just the thing for a hang over. We then went for a walk down the famous strip of the Costa Del Sol. Its ok and really pretty the beach is lovely and there are lots of bars and even spanish ...

Too Funny

... was very tasty and I feel better that I can at least eat again without being so paranoid about where the food has been stored all day. We had met an english lady on the train that was so ill by the food in morroco that i felt really glad and relieved that we had come off so lucky.

Ian was feeling much better as well thankfully and we go on the bus to our final place the Costa Del Sol rodney! It was a ...

Sunrise over the Med

... is like an italian fritatta or french quiche, i learned how to make them when i was in madrid in 1990 and stayed in a budget hotel that sat over a tapas bar. the smells from the tapas restaurant drove me crazy so i popped in for a look. i remember seeing these huge yellow round things on a dish sitting on the counter and asked what they were. the owners were very nice and told me that is the spanish tortilla, they even invited me around the counter to learn how to make ...

Caves of Nerja

Today we had an excursion to the Caves of Nerja about an hour away on the bus. The little town on the water was cute and reminded me so much of Dubrovnik. We have free time to visit the little church and have an ice cream. Then we were off to the nearby caves which were fascinating but didn't learn much because the guide was doing double time with the tour speaking both French and English and he spoke mostly French even when he was speaking English it seemed.

Morocco deserves more than a day!

... the Kasbah, we headed for a ¨traditional moroccan lunch¨, which was fine, with couscous, meat on skewers, and some local musicians playing music. Then it was over to the Medina, where we got a tour of a carpet shop. I thought it was good for the pictures, but not much else, so instead of staying huddled with the group in the crowded shop we headed next door to find something we would actually buy. We ended up haggling over a euro or 2 for some cheap souvineres but in the end ...

Malaga City Tour

... for lunch is an area called Chininitos where there are lots of chairs and tables set outside for a great seafood.
Teatro Romano is another nice place to visit, heading up to the Mount Gilfrano from there allows to see the whole city underneath. Amazing view of the Torre where the bullfighting occurs.
Once seeing the precaussions was over at night, we head out to Cordoba for our last day of visit in the Southern Spain.

DAY 2 - Torremolinos

... then his in Washington. They were all super excited. I'm still to find out who won the bets my family had going or if there was money involved. Later, I decided, getting engaged on Southern Spain's Mediterranean beach surrounded by the lights of the Costa del Sol sure topped anything I'd seen back when I'd watch "Perfect Proposal" on TLC at high school softball team meals :) Needless to say, I felt blessed.

Grenada Por Nada

... patatas that I had purchased. I had intended to eat it for lunch, but realized too late that it needed to be pan-fried, otherwise it would be pretty gross cold. She said, no, there wasn't a kitchen for guests, but that she would cook it for me. I was moved, embarrassed and delighted, all at the same time. A few minutes later she brought it to my room, all hot and crispy brown. It was a whole lotta food -- like three eggs and two potatoes worth. But I ate it all ...
