Sparkling Lights in Lugano

We arrived in this beautiful city at dusk so we weren't able to get the most out of it. Stayed there only for one hour and we spent that time in Parco Civico capturing the flickering lights of the city surrounded by mountains. The view from the shores of Lake Lugano was fascinating. It's truly a must-visit city and I'd love to go back and see it in broad daylight. ...

After a few days by the sea it was time to head North toward Lago Maggiore and the Swiss border. We'd done pretty much everything on Sunday, so we just went back to Vatican City to visit St Peter's Basilica as it was closed on Sunday. It was beautiful! The whole building is just magnificent. Then the meaning of it all, and the people, and history just add to its beauty. We had a beautiful morning- and ...

... arrive in Ulrichen on the other side to meet up with Clive.

So we go for it. The rain begins at around the 1000 metre mark and by the time we get to 2000m it is snowing hard. It's not quite a white-out but is pretty bad. Mick has steamed up and has to ride with visor up, the flakes smashing into his face.

Next morning Clive rode up to the summit and took a couple of photos. Very pretty with ...
