      ... planned got cancelled and she
      said that she could take us out to a great restaurant to eat some dishes
      typical of Lyon. First, Elodie was a great little tour guide and a wonderful
      person for taking some time out of her already busy week to show 5 strangers around
      her city. She came and got us at our hostel and we walked, once again to the
      old city of Lyon, all along the way Elodie was telling us all about the city
      and what we should see and do the next ...

      ... resistance people and Jews in Lyons, the French Resistance Centre, that were tortured and killed. Returned to the Place du Terreaux and made our way over the river back to the Lyon Vieu old town where we had a couple of beers at a pub and then a really delicious Lyons local fare at a delightful restaurant. This is an amazing city.

      ... to most with the entire building including steps built out of marble. Many different colours of marble and beautifully put together like a patchwork. Inside the floor and walls are an intricate work of mosaics, lead lighting, white marble statues and huge paintings. The alter was beautiful and unlike other churches you could take photos. I think we made their day!Back to the race road and 10min later the lead group came through, followed a couple of minutes later by 2 riders then a minute or so later by the peloton - absolutely flying and spread right across the road so the outside guys came within a meter of us. The team cars then flew by in a procession of colour and crazy driving and they were all out of sight within 1min - riders and cars.Trying to take photos, yell encouragement and watch the riders is tricky. ...
