After traveling back down the mountain we took the short stroll to view the Lion monument, I had heard about the monument before going and everything everyone said about it did it no justice! The detail and the pain captured on the lion's face is unbelievable and so descriptive! ...

... We've found some good places to eat like the Zeughauskeller which is a huge, atmospheric beer hall. It's set inside a former armoury, which is obvious from all the ancient military stuff that adorns the walls. We're going back there tonight, the final night of our three month trip. We'll most likely opt for a Swiss speciality. Maybe one of their 20 different kinds of sausages. Or a fondu. Just to give the cholesterol a shake up!
We fly out at 10pm tomorrow.

... the weather turned a bit, and that evening me and a few Aussies I met at the hostel went to a gypsy cave suggested by one of the girls that worked at the El Granado for some authentic Flamenco. This was hands down, one of the most mind blowing experiences of my life. It was the four of us, with maybe another 15 people (all Spaniards and mostly locals, so you know its a good place to be) in very close proximity to the male guitar player, singer, and female dancer. The ...

You can't come all the way to the Black Forest and not eat Black Forest cake! Although I was disappointed to discover that they don't grow wild on trees in the forest itself, I was still very grateful when Titia kindly picked us up a couple of slices on her way back from her morning rounds dropping the children at school. Delicious!

After our morning tea, Titia gave me my pick of her brilliant brooches, it was a tough choice but I settled on a blue on that I ...
