Day 107 Syros to Paros (ferry and long day.)

... the hotel, collected my bags and walked it down to the port station where i waited for the ferry. Soon the ferry arrived and i got on, left my bags in luggage storage and went to find a seat.

It was only 1hr to Paros, during that time i read. When the ferry arrived i got off after collecting my bags and meet with people from the hotel who were providing a lift to the hotel. It was a short trip to the hotel, then i got my room, unpacked and went to bed.

... place that i found, was all booked out. So with that plan failed i went for a walk around town. I went to the rock wall and watched the sea, i found a view point, i had a coffee and then picked up some lunch. I then headed back to the hotel.

In my nice cool room i watched some movies, tv shows, ate lunch, used the internet, sent emails, uploaded pictures, read and relaxed and this is how i spent ...

... a seat. I got a coffee, did some reading, then downloaded and sorted pictures. I purchased some internet, so i used that. The ship was taking the same route to Mykonos as i had used with Contiki before, but the sea was flat this time.

I did a quick wander around and then soon the ship arrived in Syros. I got my bags and left the ship to the port. I found my way to the Palladion hotel where i checked in but it was too early to go ...

... up all the steps but worth every minute.
Returning back down to Ermoupolis we visited a Greek Orthodox Church and then took a walking tour around this rather different town.
This evening we have a Captains cocktail party and dinner on board so I'll close now. We only have a couple of days remaining now - our next port will be back to Athens for an overnight stay before we disembark on Saturday after breakfast.
