... is a pool, but it's tiny and everyone wants to be in it during the day. Closed in the evening. We stood in a queue for half an hour to get out of the ship when we came to Συρος. It was hot, moist and smelled like fish and perfume. This isn't all bad though. I am guessing that these things are what allow the cruise to have the relatively small price. I guess I'm grumpy today. ... Thankfully it was as safe as houses; not a sign of aggression or dodgy behaviour in any of the youngsters. At about 0630 when the flies got too much, we picked up a toasted ham and cheese for breakfast and then wandered back to the port to wait for another 2 hours on a marble bench. Finally, the doors to the ferry port station opened and were able to get into the cool away from the sun.

Today we went for breakfast at a little coffee shop across the street from the marina in Mykonos. Went to Syros. Went to euphopolis town to explore. Trekked up hill to church to check out the view. Streets made of marble. Ate at restaurant. Took bus to Foinikus a small fishing village to moor for the night. We left the harbor at Loutra ambivalent about our destination. We headed in the direction of Karistos on Evia but as the sea was rough and the wind on the nose we opted for the shorter trip and dropped anchor in Khalidhoniki a lovely sheltered bay.
