... are so raw or something.... I don't know I never really got that sort of thing when I did art. If I like how it looks then I like it, I can appreciate skill but I don't think a photo of a face is trying to tell me anything. We ordered dessert around 3 pm, also delicious (and rich, no need to hold back on chocolate sauce, or custard or cream!). We arrived in Werfenweng, Austria on the 22nd December. The place was a magic white winter wonderland. It had snowed the day before, so there was ground covering. We found the apartment which is a lovely Austrian house. We went and organised a ski lesson for the kids and got their gear. We went out for a lovely dinner and walked home in -4. The next day, we road the gondola up the mountain for the kids lesson. There was not much snow ...

... 20 years ago as it is right in the centre of Austria, but not recently. The ladies on the bus were horrified and most indignant. Still took a little while to get out of the town and into the wilds and we were in light drizzle. Eventually had to submit to the rain jacket - the first time we have had to wear them for weeks. Track went past a ski area with lifts and lots of chalets and snow making equipment. This was fairly open country, but the animals had all been taken down ...
