... Rathaus (old town hall) dating from 1744, that now houses a porcelain museum, on the river is probably the centre of the old town area that is UNESCO heritage listed. The new town and more modern shopping covers the area along the 15 minute walk from the railway station via Maximillianplatz and the Grüner Markt. So, in summary, a good place for a touristy day trip, but not somewhere I will rush back to unless it is for a brewery pub ...
... though, and to eat some really good food! When we went back home, we did some dancing - Disco Fox with Kai, and then played a card game called Dominion with another friend that had come around. I don't think ill ever understand that game in English as I have learnt and understood it in German. I had been given a big jug of beer too, which I had two sips of and passed on. I didn't need much. ... the place to ourselves because the whole family was out. So we curled up on the couch with the cutest cat in the world and learned card tricks and just talked. It was actually one of the best afternoons I've had. Lukas came home and went straight to the piano and began playing, which was beautiful and completely added to the card tricks on the couch. It was hilarious, the way we told the stories to go with these card tricks, but my favourite part was when the 'other' card ...
... There was one more gift to unwrap too, as Rasmus and Lukas had thought it appropriate to tie a ribbon around me and my arms...I couldn't move. It was very strange being 'unwrapped'. And then we drank beer and Mulled wine, and ate sweets and cakes and talked about EJC, and how I am going to make it to the 2016 one and times gone by. I know its the end of February, but I had snow, mulled wine, good food and great friends today... So can I please call it Christmas?? Lisa ...
