... our hotel. I got a piece of bread for 0.99 before boarding the train. I should have reserved a compartment on the train instead or didn't need to pay nine euros for reservation. Anyway it didn't matter since we don't have to be on a tight budget.

Lots of wind turbines in Germany. The train ride to Dresden is lined with wind turbines and trees. This area has no mountains. It looks a little like America. But the houses are different. ...

Marksberg castle just outside Koblenz is 800 years old and has never been conquered or destroyed. It is therefore a rare example of a complete medieval castle with all its original features.
