    ... the market - enjoying not only the stalls of everything one could possibly imagine: sausages, cheeses, wicker art baskets, brooms, finely embroidered linens...     ... and I was truly getting soaked... Thankfully I got re-mapped and rerouted myself back in the right direction. I might have popped in somewhere to stay dry like any sensible person - but I chose to forge on and wend my way back. Wend my way back I did, and by the time I returned, I was literally soaked to the bone. My rainjacket was useless, my travel purse let in all the wet. All. Very. Wet. The picture of my journal is a reminder to me why I want to go digital. :) ...

    ... walking distance. Got there to find that was closed for a few weeks. So we went into town, wandered around and finally with the help of another hotel, found a place for Wiener Schnitzel for dinner. It was good...

    We will change our plans and go to Durnstein after Strassburg as the ice caves and gondolas into the mountains do not open until May 1st.

    ... a lot like Queenstown with a river instead of a lake. Back to the hostel a salad, schnitzel & fries so yum Rach had it again the next night! Had some drinks in the bar with some other busabout people. Turned out it one of the hostel staffs birthdays so we were persuaded  (really had to twist our arms!) to have these vodka shots where you put different flavours, of what's pretty much Raro, in your mouth first ...
