    We had breaky with Clara and Helene while Teresa was out droving the teenage cows. It was lovely chatting with them both! Unexpectedly we were advised to get the van out before the road collapsed. So we quickly packed up and followed Clara out to safety.     ... of the mountain, it gets rough, rocky and steep in parts. So after a few gruelling hours i make it to the hut. Seems i am not alone as there are other hikers here enjoying the stunning views. I take a seat, order a bowl of soup and sit back to enjoy the views. After talking to one of the hikers, he tells me there are even better views to be had, it just involves more climbing.     ... the boys hatched a plan as to how we would make our transition. Long story short, boys unloaded bags onto the platform while girls got off train via front door, making their way to were the bags had been unloaded. We also forced all the other passengers to go out the other door so we had the space to get the bags uninterrupted.     ... walking distance. Got there to find that was closed for a few weeks. So we went into town, wandered around and finally with the help of another hotel, found a place for Wiener Schnitzel for dinner. It was good...

    We will change our plans and go to Durnstein after Strassburg as the ice caves and gondolas into the mountains do not open until May 1st.

    ... all the graves were neat and well-tended. It was fun to poke around and look at all the people who had lived (and died) over the years in Salzburg.
