Arrived on time and bought a Dutch sim card for my phone. I'll be here for a while and lots of people to contact and it will be handy for transport apps to have a bit of data too. Then off to get a transport card for travelling on the trains and maybe buses too.

I found the right train with one change at Zwolle and then Rosa met me at Groningen train station.

It is great to be here and it is sunny and warm!

Me, Tamara, Carmen, and their grandma spent the past week in Langeoog. It is pretty small island, but it has been so much fun. The island doesn't allow cars so we have to bike everywhere, and it is honestly a nice change. It's very peaceful here and the beach is so beautiful. The girls had a wonderful time patting them & the lambs in return seemed to thoroughly enjoy the attention. Hannah spent many hours devising a plan to acquire some sheep as pets when we returned home!

That night found us in a small National Park along the North Coast. We couldn't read the signs but it ...

... It is raining and not worth trying to get to much further today so we eventually find a nice little village on a river called Varel. We park right over the road from the river and our view is of an old yacht.
The area is a very large inlet, but it is also very flat and so the boats have to go thru a lock to get out into the open sea.
There are a few restaurants there, but we had ...
