Today was one of those days that make you appreciate the ease of travel around Europe compared to the distances we travel in Australia.

This morning our day started with breakfast in Germany followed by lunch in the Netherlands, afternoon tea in France and dinner in Belgium! The time it takes us to drive from Proserpine to Rockhampton we drove through 4 different countries!

... than planned and have managed to get on an earlier ferry... We have had a fantastic time, have met some lovely people (and some very miserable too - but they were few and far between) visited the most amazing places and have taken soooooo many photos to remind us of our trip. ... wasn't there supposed to be a church with a Michelangelo in it somewhere"? I looked around as to where we were standing and go, "Oh yeah, this one" and in we went. The church was undergoing a lot of restoration so we got in for a couple of Euros each rather than the usual 6 Euro price. rounded the ticket booth and there was a Michelangelo Mother and Child right there! Yesterday we went to a market in the village, it mainly had art and there was a man doing pictures in perspex with a drill. They looked amazing. We went into a shop that was all miniature things. the lady was really nice and showed her workshop. She was making a castle and said she moulded all the bricks herself and the roof was made from a pinecone pulled apart that she got from her garden. After this we had to go to ...

... wanted to give it a look. It’s a triptych, but small. It depicts people undergoing a bizarre variety of punishments. Some of it, most of it, actually, you can’t really figure out.

This was in the first room, so I went through the other rooms, the last ending with a Magritte; and then I went back to room 1 and looked at the Bosch again. It’s unlikely I’ll see it again in person.
