The other night all of us working at the restaurant went and slept in a cabin near the top of the mountain that was half buried in snow. It was the quintessential mountain hut, without hot water we boiled large pots of water on the wood fired stove and the walls were covered in taxidermy animals, the heads of deer, stuffed owls and even a beaver. To get there we took the chairlift up and then descended on snowboard carrying ...
... tram that is supposed to be good for sightseeing, and got off at the Sforza Castello. I wandered about a bit while Christine took a break (she's on crutches as she's hurt her ankle). With Christine been slightly out of action, we had a quiet night in, to prepare for our shopping the next day. On Sunday we woke up and made the call to stick around Milan, as we had contemplated going to an outlet mall (even to Switzerland, as that one was closer!). ...

We have never seen such a large scale "t" shaped , domed building, housing the best stores ,
and restaurants on all sides. Heading out of the old town and back to the hotel, we looked at
Teatro alla Scala..we missed the palace unfortunately
We ended the day with a very nice meal and a bottle of chianti....our first full bottle of wine with a meal since Zell on the Mosel.

I am happy to have helped her out by giving her the lower bunk which she really wanted (so I took one of the top bunks) some visine, and a Claritin D. ...
