... fire prevention and firefighting techniques. There is now a museum dedicated to the history of
firefighting. We had a look around that and a few of the other things to see that we hadn’t seen on the tour, like the various (very upmarket) craft shops including a goldsmith and shoe maker.
Once we felt we had seen everything, we headed back to the campsite to pick up our swimming gear and spent the rest of the afternoon relaxing and cooling off in the Schlosssee.

It was quite a steep uphill climb at the start, but not particularly scary, but before long the track narrowed and the steep drops either side became more intimidating. ... I had a wurstsalat. It was all delicious. We then took another track back to the creek then continued along the creek past rapids, pools and waterfalls. Spectacular stuff. We then continued to follow the river before joining a road that headed back to the cars. On the way we passed a a man milling timber logs into planks - it seems that he was a carpenter who built stairs, but he enjoyed milling his own timber. ...

... houses were just like in the Heidi books and the mountains and big green grasses pastures were straight out of the Sound of Music. It was really beautiful and we stopped to have our lunch at a beautiful look out point. Then we continued up, up up the wiggly winding road until we came to our hotel which was a ski resort in winter time, literally hanging off a cliff way way up in the mountains. We were so high up there were clouds outside the windows. ...
