We had a lazy day in Ruggell, we all suffered a little jet lag so we just chilled a bit around the home. For dinner that night we were taken into Austria to a place called Feldkirch. We had to take our passports in case we were stopped at the border crossing. We went to a Castle in the town built over 300 years ago. The children were amazed and surprised on how cold it was. Inside was a restaurant that has been here for a very ...

We just had the most excellent day today. Took to Bernina Express (The Little Red Train) to St. Moritz and back. And yes, "There was snow on those mountains!" The train ride was amazing, we took a million photo's of snow, mountains & the train of course. Saw some really cool things along the way, like guys with big kite sails like they use on the Estuary, but with snow boards, cross country & down hill skiers, and footprints a million miles from anywhere on ...

We snaked our way down, passing people out skiing, sledging and using a large kite to pull them on a ski board, we don't know the correct name for this activity! The parking place we had chosen was in a small forested area, there was just a small amount of snow on the ground and it was a few degrees warmer than at the pass. After tea we made plans for ...

... guy who could speak English and we were headed up the mountain with our Toboggans! By now, it was pitch black. When we got to the top of the mountain, there was a giant bon fire tucked in the snow to our left and a cozy chalet to warm up and grab some food.

Then, we headed down on one of the most crazy adventures we have been on. We hoped on our Toboggans, not knowing how to steer or navigate - let's just say some of us got ...

... some food. I sat out front and ate.

  • I found the city center afterwards which was really pretty lit up at night.
  • I looked around town for a couple of bars that the guy at the hostel had recommended. I found one but it was dead, the other I couldn't find.
  • I walked back to the hostel, stopping on the way to buy some chocolate.
  • I had a beer back at the hostel a sat in the common room watching ...
