    ... evening we wandered through town and went to TripAdvisors #1 restaurant in Tirano, Contadi Gasparotti. It was amazing! A set menu of 6 dishes for only €15. The lady makes all the food herself. She also grows all the grapes for the wine she serves! Incredible. The menu included meats and cheeses, crepes, amazing potato/bean mix, and delish apple cake to finish. We were so full!!!     A beautiful sunny day! We headed up to Lago di Cancano, a 11km climb from the van. 17 hairpins and 2 tunnels cut through the mountain. At the summit were two stunning lakes.     ... pleased our car is small. There are also hundreds on push bikes as well as the odd lorry, one of which was having trouble negotiating some of the hairpin bends. They were so sharp he was having to take two bites at some which really held up those behind. What with overtaking bikes and umpteen motor bikes roaring past it was a very busy stretch of road.
